I hate when people who ass-sume they know shit start causing problems and worst off they don't know anything about what has gone on and who agreed to what. What will put them in their place would be a letter posted on the letter board or company communications by Kat explaning why she chose you to help, put the shit talkers in their place and hopefuly if everybody knows what went down they wont assume. That's the biggest problems at work, nobody talks to you if they have issue with you to get the straight answer, they go around spreading shit like butter on bread untill you find yourself in HR being accused of something you didnt do or was aware you were even involved in.

I speak from experience, last year we had a shuttle to drive new hires and older employees from a church parking lot to work due to construction at work causing less parking. One day, after months of driving the van and doing my job the same way every day I get pulled aside by a co-worker who told me that people were watching me, saying I was getting grumbles for not doing more in between van rides. I guess they wanted me to take phone calls and the like and yet be available for a van ride, which was about every 10 min or so.

Well about 2 weeks later I was pulled into HR and they told me driving the van "wasnt working out" and that I wasnt doing enough between calls and that they gave me several chances to correct that and I didn't. I almost flipped out! I said nobody told me WHAT stuff to do between rides, I knew I couldnt get on the phones because I could get stuck on a call, making the people who need a ride wait forever, especially if they were on lunch.

So anyways I was taken off the van and the people who replaced me did far worse things than I did, they would use to van to get food, coffee's for themselves, one even fell asleep in the van! I was mad about that for months and if they asked me to do that again I would tell them on the condition that guidlines would need to be established that everybody knew what I was and was not to do.

Anyways, you need to take controle and get'er done..remember Jessica superior, fat-asses inferior!

Just reading over this comment I could feel myself sinking lower and lower in my chair because I know exactly what you're talking about. Why is it so freaking for people to get a backbone and deal with shit at the source? Is it really that hard to go and talk to someone if there's a problem that needs to be corrected? Or are all these people really laboring under the delusion that it'll just fix itself?

People do shit like that at my work all the time! Like in Histology (where they get all of my slides together and paperwork, etc. for me to distribute on my hourly runs)they just hired a new girl and are making her cover one of the older histo-tech's job while she's out. And they have never ever trained her on what to do! She can barely even do her OWN job yet! She's been making a ton of mistakes that keep affecting how the entire department is run, yet no one says a damn thing. Why? Why are they like this?
